Why You Need It
Every session on a phone emulator ends the same way: touchscreen controls that miss, lag that kills the moment, and ten minutes of setup just to play for five. This console arrives with 22000 games loaded across 30+ emulators, runs on a quad-core Linux system with physical buttons that register every input, and fits in a jacket pocket, so the friction that kept you from playing disappears before you even notice it.

Product Overview
Description
R36MAX 2 Retro Handheld Console with 30+ Emulators
The R36MAX 2 is a retro handheld with four decades of games, from arcade to PSP, playable as soon as you turn it on. No account, internet connection, downloads, or setup needed.
Performance and Display
- RK3326 quad-core CPU (ARM 64-bit Cortex-A35, up to 1.5GHz) with Mali-G31MP2 GPU (520MHz, OpenGL ES 3.2)
- 1GB dedicated RAM for stable loading and emulator switching, without micro-freezes
- Stable frame rates on PS1, N64, and most PSP titles. Heavier PSP and Dreamcast games may drop below full speed.
- 4.5" IPS at 1024x768, OCA full lamination: less glare and color loss, readable in bright rooms and moderate outdoor light
Games and System
- 18,000+ or 22,000+ games preloaded depending on the version, across arcade, 8, 16, and 32-bit platforms
- 30+ pre-configured emulators, including MAME, N64, PS1, PSP, Dreamcast, NDS, GBC, GBA, SFC, NeoGeo, CPS1/2/3
- Open-source Linux, ROCKNIX compatible, with community updates, emulator core improvements, and bug fixes
- Dual microSD (TF) slots: TF1 for the OS, TF2 for games (16GB to 256GB). Updating one never touches the other.
Controls
- D-pad, Y/X/A/B, L1/L2/R1/R2, Start, Select, FN, Volume: full SNES, PS1, and PSP mapping, FN for emulator functions mid-game
- Detachable 3D analog sticks: snap-in, swappable one at a time without tools or soldering, drift-resistant
- Two independent vibration motors (13000 and 3000 RPM), active in any emulator with rumble
- RGB LED rings around both sticks, color and brightness set in firmware, no performance impact
Connectivity and Battery
- Wi-Fi 2.4GHz (802.11 b/g/n): firmware updates, wireless ROM transfer from a PC, online netplay. No Bluetooth.
- USB-C with OTG: charging (5V 1.5-2A) and data on one port, plus external storage, keyboards, and hubs
- 3.5mm jack on the bottom edge, 8 ohm 1W speaker in a cavity chamber for fuller lows
- 4000mAh battery: 4 to 6 hours depending on brightness and emulator, full charge in about 2 hours
Extras
- Removable desktop stand included: clips onto the back for tabletop play, comes off without marks
- Certified FCC, CE, RoHS, and UKCA
